Chinese have been part of New Zealand since the earliest settlers came to the land. They have been part of the very fabric of New Zealand, and have been very industrious hardworking immigrants to the land. From market gardeners to business owners in importing and exporting, and restaurants, many have not lost their Chinese'ness and so bring their culture to the country.
